We offer non-medical care that includes supervision, companionship, and social engagement to help older adults remain active and connected while working toward therapeutic and community integration goals outlined in their personalized support plan. Adult companions can meet with people in person or remotely to assist and supervise them with tasks that help them work towards a therapeutic or community integration goal.
Companionship care services include the following:
- Managing social anxiety and teaching coping skills
- Support with attending community events to reduce social isolation
- Helping an individual improve their fine motor skills
- Providing verbal instructions or cues to help with task completion
- Assistance or supervision with tasks such as laundry, light housekeeping, and meal preparation
- Shop with the individual to practice budgeting skills
